Dr. Premraj Debta, M.D. (Medicine), DNB (Nephrology), is a distinguished nephrologist with over a decade of experience in diagnosing and managing complex kidney diseases. He currently serves as the Head of the Department of Nephrology at Shri Sankalp Hospital, Sarona, Raipur, Chhattisgarh, where he leads with clinical excellence, empathy, and a commitment to patient-centered care.
Dr. Debta completed his MBBS and MD in General Medicine from VIMSAR, Burla under Sambalpur University, Odisha. His passion for nephrology led him to pursue a DNB in Nephrology from the prestigious Max Superspeciality Hospital in Saket, New Delhi—one of India’s top centers for renal care. He further enriched his expertise at the Institute of Liver and Biliary Sciences (ILBS), New Delhi, a center known for advanced care and research.
Throughout his career, Dr. Debta has been recognized for his meticulous approach, evidence-based practice, and dedication to continuous learning. His areas of specialization include diabetic and hypertensive kidney disease, acute and chronic kidney conditions, dialysis (hemodialysis and peritoneal), glomerulonephritis, and kidney transplantation. He is also deeply involved in critical care nephrology and the management of high-risk patients in intensive care settings.
